But forthrigt statements will make one ponder, though not now, atleast when one ruminates in his/her recess. Infact, what I had in mind while writing my earlier comment was the same idea of ethics which Sahana has pointed out.Furthermore I hasten to point out that it is only in the process of exchange of ideanets and commensurate with the times ethics develop followed ny etiquettes.kgrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07208822574788428737noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1924941037178788607.post-71396569727825916012009-10-02T05:05:28.013+05:302009-10-02T05:05:28.013+05:30Ethics in social media is an interesting and thoug...Ethics in social media is an interesting and thought-provoking topic...I was inspired to explore a bit and found information possibly worth in-depth investigation.

Ethics in social media covers:
1. Professional ethics
2. Personal ethics
3. Marketing ethics
4. Social ethics
5. Cultural ethics
6. Particularly since it is about your public profile, you get to face all the praises and dust associated with public figures.

Let me try to get to this one shortly.Shrinihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05031446599067749548noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1924941037178788607.post-86319749949379575242009-09-30T07:33:04.649+05:302009-09-30T07:33:04.649+05:30One of the reasons why Twitter has become synonymo...One of the reasons why Twitter has become synonymous with SoMe is its viral nature and sheer ubiquity. This has resulted in more people coming here and more "ideanets" flowing in here than on any other platform...this entices more to join and the circle continues...

While I was keen on Facebook at one point, I am beginning to loose interest in it because my primary reason for engaging with SoMe is learning and FB is more of a soicalizing platform. While I have nothing against socializing, I prefer to do that with the very few I am close to.

And I can only "socialize" with someone I intellectually bond with...so, FB is kind of out for me...

I think a SoME tool to become vibrant and pervasive, it has to do certain things right that Twitter did.

Kept the model simple
Let the users define and modify it

In effect, the users have defined what it is today accounting for its success...Sahana Chattopadhyayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09533308240409984953noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1924941037178788607.post-35406673126555125492009-09-25T10:39:35.796+05:302009-09-25T10:39:35.796+05:30I have read the two blogs subsequent to my comment...I have read the two blogs subsequent to my comment on the fist one. The subsequent 2 blogs only reiterate my viw that since elasticity is inherent in the process of resorting to Social media the same should not be stretched too far lest the elastic be broken and hence adoptionof the media should be based on a determined ethics.kgrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07208822574788428737noreply@blogger.com
